Academic Studies

The National College of Dance recognises the importance of completion of education for all their students to provide the best chance possible of obtaining employment, whether within the dance industry or other career pathways.

Diploma and Certificate IV

Students enrolled in the Diploma and Certificate IV also study academic and theory based subjects that complement their time within the studio space.  These subjects include anatomy, nutrition, dance history, career planning, music and music history.

Big Picture Education Australia

Big Picture Education Australia aims to stimulate vital changes in Australian education by generating and sustaining innovative, personalised schools that work in partnership with their greater communities. Their philosophy is grounded in educating ‘one student at a time.’  They promote and create personalised education programs that are unique for each student.

BPEA believe that true learning takes place when each student is an active participant in their education, when their course of study is personalised by teachers, parents and mentors who know them well, and when school-based learning is blended with outside experiences that heighten the student’s interest.
